Happy 2010 Friends and Family! I need to start out by apologizing for the lack of posts, but I did make a few new years resolutions and one of them was to write in my blog at least once a month! Of course, I did also make a resolution to eat healthier and as I write this I am eating a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos...... Anywho, last semester went great except for my Chemistry class which I managed to get a 'C' in, but still need to take over in order to improve my grade! This semester I am busy with Microbiology, Physiology, Statistics, and yet another Chemistry class. Thus far my favorite class has to Microbiology, the other day I took a swab from underneath my fingernail to culture......I have not gotten it back yet, but I have a feeling it is not going to be pretty! I will keep you updated. FYI, I am writing this blog during a blizzard here in Grand Forks, school was cancelled and I made the unfortunate mistake of thinking I could walk down the street to have lunch with a friend. Long story short it was like I was climbing Mt. Everest without the mountain, the wind was so strong that I was at one point actually walking in place.
Just so you don't pity me I have actually made some friend here at UND, of course all under the age of 20. They love hearing or at least I think they tolerate my stories from UND of lore. I regale them with tales of frat and house parties of the 90's and how crazy we use to get. They tell me that nowadays they can't get away with anything and walking home drunk from a party usually ends up with a minor from the Campus cops. I had no idea that UND had it's own cops! I guess they did exist back in the 90's too......hmmmmm.
I had a wonderful Christmas break back in Minneapolis and Texas. Jane tolerated me for 3 whole weeks and did not attempt to kill me once, that I know of..... However, I had to sleep in the guest bedroom due to the fact that my bedroom is now occupied by a subleaser, named Chad, aka houseboy. He has been friends with Jane for quite a while and has a strong grasp on how crazy she is.... he also has a son, which is great to have a lil person around the house. There nothing like stepping on a matchbox car in bare feet. The child's bedtime is a little later than Jane's bedtime so at least Chad has someone to talk with in evening hours. My parents are doing great down in New Braunfels, my Dad trys to play golf everyday and my mom continues to stimulate the economy.
Like I said, I will TRY to update this blog at least once a month. I hope you are all having a terrific start to 2010 and I look forward to blogging again.
Take care!
Cheers,
Jilly
