Hello Blog Readers,
I better start with an update, since I was suppose to start this blog a month ago, but due to the fact I couldn't get my poop in the groove it's a month late. Well, I finished up my contract job with Scantron in late August and pointed my Buick (Boo-icky) north to Grand Forks. Fortunately, I have the bestest parents and cousin (Trevor, I will give you some props) in the world and they moved all my crap into my small, yet affordable apartment downtown GF. My first day of school was August 25th, so I strapped on my old backpack from 1995, jumped on my bike (with my helmet on, Mom, don't worry) and rode off into the sunrise, well down University, whatever direction that is.....
It is still hard to believe that I am back in school! I have been attending for about a month or so now and I gotta say I am loving it. My responsibilities are to attend class and get good grades, me thinks I may never leave..... what other degrees can I get? Work shmurk! I am sure you all are wondering what my favorite classes are, how much older I am than my professors, how many illegal booze runs I have made for underclassmen....... so I will give you a quick lowdown on my first month here.
So my first day in Chemistry the professor, who by the way is about 7 years younger than me, advised us to get into groups of four. Everyone proceeded to chit chat with their fellow freshmen classmates to introduce themselves and form groups, no one even so much as glanced at me! I guess no one wanted to be in a group with their "mom"...... (picture me very sad sitting all by myself). Not to fret, I did end up getting into a group of graduate students that needed to take Chemistry for a Master's program. My favorite class, hands down (no pun there) is Anatomy Lab. Just ask Jane or Erinn, I must have a story for them everyday after Lab. For those who don't know, UND uses real cadavers in their medical school, thank god for those people who donate their bodies to science. I have named my cadaver Mr. Lumpy, the reason behind this name is the cadaver was covered for the first few weeks and I had to rest my books on top of the body and well he wasn't exactly accommodating. I will write more adventures in school stories in future blogs.
For those of you who have been concerned about Jane's well being, she has instructed (that is nicest way I could describe her yelling) me to remind you that she has lived on her own before (when I was in Australia) and that she will be fine without me....... I reminded her that when I returned from Australia the furnace filter was so black it had a hole in it and colony of spiders were running a sweat shop out of our basement. Only time will tell, or when the townhouse burns down.
I will post pictures soon, as soon I figure out how to do that.....

My first blog
Welcome to my first blog, well let me introduce myself, for those who don't already know me. I am a 35 year old lady who has come to a cross roads in my life. Let me start off with a little background. I graduated from the prestigious University of North Dakota in 1997 with a Spanish degree and went directly from accepting my diploma (which by the way was through mail since my college was underwater due to a record breaking 500 year flood) to Minneapolis to start my career working for Northwest Airlines. Not that I didn't enjoy traveling the world and meeting new people, but I decided I needed more in life. So after 9 years of being treated like a brainless, garbage collecting, floor mat, I quit my job and enter the 9 to 5 workforce. I wouldn't say huge mistake, but I quickly found out that I am not cut out to work 9 to 5 and needed a occupation that not only requires use of my brain on a daily basis, but also had acceptable working hours. (I would rather work 12 hour shifts with more days off) So after a few months on unemployment I decided to return to UND in order to pursue a degree in nursing, and here I am, a 35 year old college student!!!!
